Dr. Ahlishia Shipley focuses on serving clients by guiding them to build healthy lives supporting a healthy family.


Dr. Shipley is a relationship scientist and strategic leadership consultant specializing in faculty development and institutional effectiveness through relational isolation and collective partnership. With expertise in social psychology, organizational behavior, and leadership, Dr. Shipley provides guidance to universities and research institutions to cultivate strong relationships among faculty and administrators, enhance internal and external collaboration, and foster innovative academic environments. Through evidence-based strategies, Dr. Shipley guides institutions of higher learning in developing leadership programs, improving faculty retention, and optimizing team dynamics to support institution success and growth.


Dr. Shipley has training as both an educator and a researcher, earning a B.S. in Family and Consumer Sciences Education, an M.S. in Career and Technical Education, and a Ph.D. in Family Studies, all from the University of Kentucky. Dr. Shipley has served as an adjunct faculty member and volunteers as a family life educator. Her experiences have culminated in a sincere appreciation for comprehensive teaching and outreach that is firmly rooted in research.


Dr. Shipley’s purpose is driven by her passion and technical knowledge and training which have focused on designing strategies and executing customized frameworks for her clients’ success. During her knowledge-based and technical training, Dr. Shipley conducted research on relationship development with and among young adults. In this space, Dr. Shipley trained top researchers and practitioners around the nation and internationally in relationship science. In her training program, Dr. Shipley offers workshops on healthy relationship development and education at the local, national, and international levels.
